How to upload post-TX data

Watch the video: TX data upload

Funders using Integration Lite upload publication (post-TX) data to Diamond with the Diamond Integration-Lite Post-TX Uploader (also known as the TEP Data Uploader). It takes publication data from an Excel spreadsheet, checks it and sends it to Diamond for processing.

The uploader runs entirely in your web browser at lite.creativediversitynetwork.com. Nothing is installed on your computer.

For full instructions with screenshots, download the Post-TX Uploader user guide attached to this article.

Before you start

The Everyone Project will give you four connection details: Access Key ID, Secret Access Key, Bucket Name and Region.

  1. Go to lite.creativediversitynetwork.com.
  2. Click the settings icon (top right) and enter your connection details.

Your details are saved in your browser, so you only need to do this once. If you change browser or clear your browser data, you will need to enter them again.

Prepare your spreadsheet

Use an Excel (.xlsx) file with a header row and one row per publication event. If you use the standard column headings below, the uploader matches your columns automatically.

Required columns:

  • Publication ID – a unique identifier for the broadcast event
  • Episode ID – the identifier for the episode that was broadcast
  • Availability Mode – must be exactly broadcast or onDemand
  • Publication Date and Time – the transmission date and time (broadcast) or start of the availability window (on demand)
  • Channel Label – the channel or platform name, e.g. BBC One or iPlayer

Optional columns: Is Repeat?, Is Primary?, Window Closure Date and Time (on-demand rows only), Channel ID, and Sub-channel 1–4 Label and ID.

Format date and time columns as Date in Excel or Google Sheets. Text that only looks like a date will be rejected, unless it is a full ISO 8601 date and time with a time zone, e.g. 2026-06-01T20:00:00Z.

Upload steps

  1. Select file – choose your spreadsheet. Tick Skip column review if all columns matched OK to save time if you use the same format each time.
  2. Select sheet – if your workbook has more than one sheet, choose the one to upload.
  3. Map columns – check that each field is matched to the right column. Required fields must be matched. Leave any optional fields you don't have set to Ignore this column.
  4. Validate – the uploader checks every row. If a row fails, click it to see the problem. Fix your spreadsheet and start again, or proceed with the valid rows only.
  5. Upload – click Upload. Nothing is sent until you do. Rows already uploaded are skipped automatically, so it is safe to upload the same file again.
  6. Results – see how many rows were uploaded, skipped as duplicates or skipped as invalid. If any rows were not processed, click Retry.

Check for processing errors

Diamond processes your upload in the background, so results can take a few minutes to appear.

  1. Click the Error Review tab, then Refresh. Each upload is listed as a batch showing how many files were OK or had errors.
  2. Click a batch with errors to see the details. You can also download the uploaded XML file and the JSON error report, which is useful if you need to contact support.
  3. Once you have fixed and re-uploaded the data, click Dismiss to hide the batch.
