Watch the video: Adding cast and crew
Our goal is to make the process of uploading contributor details as quick and easy as possible whilst preserving appropriate data quality.
Ideally you will be able to use existing data
sources rather than go to the effort of creating new files etc.
Many practitioners have their own cast and crew list 'template' they use. These tend to be similar across the industry but can have slight formatting variations that require adjustment before uploading to the tool.
To make life
easy, we've created standard examples of industry templates that
you can use if you don't already have a preferred format or if your existing file does not upload smoothly.
You can adapt these to your own needs, such as adding new and different roles. Just follow a few
simple rules to keep them compatible with the tool. Instructions
for use are included in the file.
The system just needs to see name, role and email in three separate columns. With scripted projects, we also request character names for cast. We also ask for an indication if the email belongs to someone like an agent or parent/guardian.
Download the template that suits your production from the attachments at the bottom of this article:
- Crew List Template – for off-screen crew
- On-Screen List Scripted Template – for cast on scripted projects (includes a column for character names)
- On-Screen List Unscripted Template – for on-screen contributors on unscripted projects, such as presenters, contestants and interviewees
Each template has a Guide tab with instructions for filling it in.
