Encourage participation

Watch the video: Producer introduction · Sending surveys

Add your cast, crew and post-production suppliers as soon as practical after greenlight, when most individuals are actively onboarded. The aim is to reach people when they are most engaged and likely to contribute.

Key communication points

To maximise your participation rates, encourage cast and crew to take part by ensuring a senior production leader, such as the Series Producer or Head of Production, communicates these points to them, as advocates of Diamond.

  • The UK television industry is made up of people with a wide range of roles, experiences and perspectives.
  • Diamond helps us understand who is working in television and what barriers may exist for them.
  • You'll be emailed a link to a quick survey by The Everyone Project on behalf of Diamond.
  • It's all voluntary.
  • It's secure, independent and confidential.
  • The survey should only take about 5 minutes – complete it once and link it to future work.
  • We'd like everyone working on the production to take part.
  • Your contribution is important and very much appreciated.
  • Taking part informs better decisions on skills, interventions, funding and development that can help build a more open, inclusive sector.

Communicating these key points will make Diamond reporting more successful in capturing a clearer picture of the UK television industry. It is much appreciated by us and your project funders.

You must also provide your contributors with an opportunity to opt out of receiving an invitation. Learn more here.
